What a Match!!
Whoa!! The Wimbledon final at the Center Court proved to be another epic battle between two gladiators! After losing the longest ever final last year Federer came around and proved his mantle with 50 aces!(I can't believe that!) And to do so in front of a crowd including legends of all sorts was such a great feat. It took 77 games and 256 minutes to dish out a winner but in a way I just thought that Andy Roddick deserved it more. He fought hard and it was just that he was on the not so lucky side as Federer got the chance to serve first in the final set. Always serving ahead of Roddick and taking the game, Federer had an upper hand winning a game first and then putting pressure on Roddick in the next and that is exactly what happened in the 30th game of the final set. Roddick had a superb chance of winning the second set when he went 6-2 up but the champion in Federer just staged a comeback! Anyway, sadly, it was a shattered Roddick in the end and I wish he had won it.

hey dost, that was a great one.
ReplyDeleteyou've really "dished out" a good topic.
thanks, keep it up
Wah! bhai wah! vrajesh. Su lakhyu che. Nice description!even i wished that roddick should have won the match
ReplyDeletei was always backing Fed.. never liked Sampras with that record.. Fed deserved it more
ReplyDeleteWith Nadal absent, my only choice was Fed..
But 20 mins into the final set, i couldnt help myself subconsciously backing Roddick!
You're absolutely right.. Roddick was just on the unlucky side, there's nothing more to that!
He held on for so many games under pressure,
uski jagah sampras hota to ghanta bhi nahi hila pata
So i dont know what i would have liked more, Fed or Roddick winning..
Ok, all i'll say is, Fed deserved the record, Roddick deserved the Championship!
Though Fed may put up his "Keep off the grass" signs now, i ll always be a strong Nadal fan, Clay or Grass
Also, i ll be watching out for roddick's matches from now on!
i love this game!
